Classes 10-12. Tuesday 9-23/06

Hello

These several weeks we were finishing our work through the whole trimestre.

We did a final test and all of you did it very well and pass to the next grade.

We also showed our short theatre performance "Sophie the Monkey" - you were great!!! 


This last week we were watching a film in English "Toy Story 3".
Also today we announced the winner of our Olympic Games - Javier BallesteroWell done!!!

Class 9. Tuesday 02/06

Hello

This week we were playing lots of games to revise our vocabulary on the topic Food.

You made beautiful pictures with the food you like and don´t like:
I like ice cream, but I don´t like bananas.

We also practised talking to each other and making short dialogues:
I like hamburgers. And you? Do you like hamburgers?

Next class 9/06 we´re having a small test, so revise the material we´ve learnt.

Class 8. Tuesday 26/05

Hello

Today we revised our vocabulary on the topic - Food and Drinks. We also practised how to ask each other about our preferences:
Do you like apples? - Yes, I do. No, I don´t.

We also practised how to write the words:
apple, banana, ice cream, burger, fish, cake. 

Practise writing them at home.

We made a small chart where we asked other children about what they like, then we drew a chart:

Four students like apples.
Three students like chocolate.
Two people like burgers etc.

The second part of the class we had a Flipped Class where other students were our teachers. We had the topic "Summer Holidays". We played games and had some fun!

Class 7. Tuesday 19/05

Hello!

This week we started a new topic "Food and drinks" and learnt lots of vocabulary:
a banana, an apple, soup, salad, chicken, milk, water, tea, ice-cream etc.

Class 6. Tuesday 12/05

Hello

Today we revised all our words about the house and furniture. And you made and decorated real houses! Wow!

At home finish colouring them and prepare a small presentation of this house:

In my house I´ve got a bedroom, a living room etc.
In the living room I´ve got a sofa, an armchair. The sofa is red and the armchair is orange etc.

We also practised writing some words and played a funny spelling game. What letters are missing?

Hello! How´re you?

Today we revised lots of things and learnt some new!

So, we revised our furniture and checked your homework:
What has a living room got? - It´s got a sofa.
What colour is it? - It´s red.
Where is the bed? - It´s in the bedroom.
What colour is it? - It´s green.

Class 4. Tuesday 28/04

Hello! How´re you today?
Today we were missing Ivan and Alberto - hope you´ll get better soon and join us:)

We revised our rooms and learnt some new verbs:
eat
sleep
wash my face
watch TV
study


What do you do in the living room? - I watch TV in the living room.
Where do you eat? - I eat in the kitchen.

      


We also learn a lot of new vocabulary - Furniture:
a table, a sofa, an armchair, a bookcase, a bed, a lamp, a carpet, a wardrobe, curtains etc.

We decorated our rooms with the furniture:

Class 3. Tuesday 21/04

Hello

Today we revised our vocabulary on the topic "My House" - the names of the rooms:
Is it a bedroom? - No, it isn´t. It´s living room.
Is it a hall? - Yes, it is.

We learnt how to write these words and also you did wonderful pictures of your houses:

My house has got a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a hall and a bathroom.

Also we did some listening and revised the prepositions - Where are the things in the house?

The cat is in the hall. The jacket is on the floor in the kitchen. The computer is in the living room.


Today we first read our play "Sophie the Monkey" that we´re going to show at the end of the trimester, in June! Do you like the play?

Sophie the Monkey (a play)

Sophie the Monkey (theatre performance)


Sophie the Monkey is a short play we´re going to make for a theatre performance on 16th June.

The children have got the copies with the play and their roles.

Class 2. Tuesday 14/04

Hello

Today we played a "Hot Potato" game and revised lots of words we know: activities, clothes, animals etc.

We also learnt new pronouns today "he" - for a boy and "she" - for a girl:

What can a girl do? - She can swim and sing. She can´t play the guitar and ride a horse.
What can a boy do? - He can ride a bike and play football. He can´t sing and dance.

In the class we did a real questionnaire - we asked questions to the class and filled in the table. According to the questionnaire:

In our group 6 of us can swim.
In our group 3 of us can draw.
In our group 6 of us can ride a bike etc.

Finally, we started a new topic with you, "Our House". We learnt places in the house:
a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, a hall, a bathroom.

Where is the dad? - He´s in the hall.
Where´s the mum? - She´s in the dining room.
Where´re granddad and grandma? - They´re in the living room.
Where´s Susy? - She´s in the bedroom.
Where´s Stella? - She´s in the kitchen.
Where´s Simon? - He´s in the bathroom.

We played a guessing game:
Where´re you? Are you in the kitchen? - No, I am not.
Are you in the bedroom? - Yes, I am.

We got some points for Olympic Games:

Trimester III. Class 1. Tuesday 7/04

Hello
How´re you after vacations? Hope you had some rest and are happy to start with English again.

Today we did some revision of the topic we had from the previous trimester - "Fun Time".

We learnt how to make positive and negative phrases about the activities:
I can swim and ride a bike.
I can´t ride a horse and sing.

You did wonderful pictures with the actions and phrases!

We also practised exchanging information with the partner:
I can swim and you? Can you swim?

We learnt how to write those words and expressions:
DRAW, RIDE A BIKE, SWIM, SING, PLAY FOOTBALL
So, at home correct the mistakes and practise writing these words.

We also practised writing our "h" sound. Colour your copies and read these words:

Class 11. Tuesday 24/03. End of trimester II

Hello

Today it was our last class in this trimester. To celebrate it we organised a Flea Market, a very funny and exciting activity. We decided to raise money for the charity organisation Design for Change or use it for our projects.

You brought lots of different things - second-hand books, toys, puzzles, home-made food and drinks. Wow! Great! You were real shop assistants and cashiers!

In the end, we earned 20,50 euros! Wow! So, we left our moneyhere in the school and we´ll use it for our project!

Class 10. Tuesday 17/03

Hello, my little students! How´re you? Hope good in this horrible weather:)

This week we revised lots of topics we´d learnt through our course and did some written activities. You did them very well, we´ll add the points to the Olympic Games.

We also revised some vocabulary from our topic and learnt some new words:

Today we did a big revision of so many topics we´ve learnt (Animals, Clothes, Parts of the Face and Body etc.) Well done!!!

Hello, boys and girls. Today finally we had all students in the class! Great!

Today together with our clothes we revised our prepositions - IN, ON, UNDER, BY.

Where is my jacket? - It´s under the table.
Where are my trousers? - They´re on the chair.
Where is my skirt? - It´s on the table.
Where are my shoes? - They´re in the bag etc.

Class 4. Tuesday 03/02

How´re you today?

Today we revised our animals and their parts of body:
Who has got a long tail? - A crocodile.
Who´s got a long neck? - A giraffe.
Who´s got short legs? - A hippo etc.

Today we also learnt how to write the names of some animals. We solved a crossword in English! Well done!

We also learnt what the animals can do:
A kangaroo can jump.
A monkey can climb.
A fish can swim.
A lion can run etc.

We learnt a very funny song "Can an elephant jump?". Let´s sing it again!

And our pronunciation story. Today we read a story about the trip to one of the Spanish villages where a dancer was dancing Flamenco with the castanets. They clicked "ck-ck-ck-ck".

Hello, boys and girls.

Today we listened to an interview with ugly monsters. Do you remember what they answered?

Have you got short hair? - No, I haven´t. I´ve got long green hair.
Have you got teeth? - Yes, I have. I´ve got many orange teeth.
Have you got long ears? - No, I haven´t. I´ve got two small ears.

You also made a picture of an ugly monster and we described it:
He/she´s got a big/small head.
He/she´s got short/long purple hair etc.
