Trimester II. Tuesday 13/01

Hello, boys and girls.
I´m happy to see you again at our classes. Hope you had a good holiday and got a lot of presents!

We´ve got a new student with us - Javier, welcome to the group!

Today we saw a big and ugly troll on TV. Let´s describe him:

He´s got a green face, a big head, purple hair, two orange eyes, two small ears, a short nose,  a big mouth and yellow teeth. 

Brrrr! Horrible!

Hello

Today we had our last class in this trimester and  in this year! What a wonderful concert we had! You did it very well!

We announced our winner today. Our Olympic Games winner is Nadia Ortal!

Today we were rehearsing our songs a lot . So, this is a list of songs we´re going to perform for our parents. You can practise a bit at home. The links are in the previous blog entries:

We started the project "My Family", finish your pictures, colour them, write the names of all family members and prepare a short presentation (oral):

And of course, Christmas is coming! Are ready for Christmas?
We learnt some new Christmas words (a reindeer, a stocking, a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, a wreath, a snowman, bells, presents, a candle etc). Let´s revise them once again:

Hello!
How´re you today?

Today we started a new topic and talked about "My Family". Little Suzy told us about her family:

I´ve got a mother - Mrs Star.
I´ve got a father - Mr Star
I´ve got a grandmother and grandfather (grandma and grandpa).
I´ve got a brother - Simon.
I´ve got a sister - Stella.

We also saw a family album and were guessing who is who:

In this photo my mum is next to the computer.
In this photo my dad is on the bike.
In this photo my sister is under the table.
In this photo my brother is in the box.

We also sang a new song about the family. Let´s sing it again:

Today we revised our "ppppp" sound and found new words that start with this sound:

Hello!
Today we were missing one student Alberto! Hey, get better and come to the next class soon!

We were revising all the topic we´ve learnt - we played preposition games, wrote down some prepositions and also drew some toys!

Today our Cow Polly was hiding ... Where??? IN the box! Ups.
Then she climbed and sat ON the box. And finally fell asleep UNDER the box.

And we lost our toys and were looking for them in the room:

Our pronunciation story: a boy has a birthday party. His mum made a pink pig cake for him. He´s blowing the candles: "pppppppppp".

Your homework is to describe a picture with the toys we were sticking last class. Where´re toys in your picture? Also colour the pink pig cake and practise saying "ppppp" as if you´re blowing out the candles.

Also today we read one more pronunciation story. A mouse escaped from her cage and spilt the ink over herself. Since then she´s called Inky. She´s grey and has got a black spot on its back. Can you colour her in your copies?
Mouse Inky makes this squeaky sound "iiiiiiiiiii". Practise writing this sound in your copies.

Also we played a pronunciation bingo - words and sounds:
